Anacampseros telephiastrum variegata 'Sunrise' is native to Namibia and is a succulent plant with pink and yellow brocade spots in its variegation. It is a succulent plant of the genus Amaranthaceae, alias Euphorbia, with a lotus-like unfolding of the top leaves, thick foliage and colorful yonghua, sun-loving (full sun), but not to be placed under the hot sun for a long time.

The plant is only 2 inches tall. The leaves are spiral growth, closely arranged, and pendulous. The leaf surface is green, the back is peach-colored, the leaf is soft and thick. The most special is that once in spring, the new leaf color will be light green, and near the tip of the leaf will appear yellow or pink spots. The white hairs grow in the axils of the leaves and look somewhat like white silky hairs.

The flower stalks are long and protrude from the leaf tips during flowering and the flowers are peachy red. How do we take care of such a beautiful and charming Sunrise, and what details and problems do we need to pay attention to when caring for it.

Care Tips

Light: It needs a lot of light, so we need to give it full-time light in the process of maintenance. Adequate light can speed up the photosynthesis of the blowing Sunrise, so that it grows faster and easier to burst the pot. We need to pay attention to shade during the summer heat, because in the summer heat. The scorching sun can burn the branches and affect its growth. Therefore, it is important to move it to a shaded and ventilated place for maintenance. In winter, it also needs to receive light, and this time we can put it on a sealed balcony for light, which also helps it to pass the winter safely.

Water: Sunrise does not require a lot of water and its plant and fleshy leaves contain a lot of water, which can provide it with a certain amount of water. Sunrise is different from other succulents in that it needs to be watered in winter and summer, but we need to control the amount of watering. In spring and autumn, which are the growing seasons of Sunrise. We have to pay attention to the watering principle of "not dry, not watering" to avoid potting soil water. It is enough to keep the soil moist, but there should not be water in the soil, as this will cause the roots to rot. In summer, it grows slowly, we should reduce the amount of watering, and the same in winter, don't stop watering, just reduce the amount of watering.

Soil: Prefer loose and fertile soil with good permeability and drainage. For example, add some perlite, lava rock, and pumice. This way the soil has good permeability and drainage and is very suitable for growth.

Potting: It is recommended to use ceramic pots, ceramic pots have a certain degree of permeability, clay pots lose water too fast, plastic pots retain water too strong, and poor permeability.

Temperature: Growing temperature 59-77°F (15-25℃). Semi-drought tolerant, not cold hardy. Winter 26°F (-3 ℃) to keep the potting soil dry, above 32°F (0 ℃) can be appropriate to give some water, compared to other plants, frost-resistant performance or can.

Humidity: Sunrise grows well in average household humidity levels when grown indoors. Does not like too much humidity. Normal household humidity is good for this plant.

To ensure the health of succulents, it is important to plant them in porous, well-draining soil. Succulents require little watering, but don't like to sit in wet soil. To create an adequate cactus mix, simply add pumice, perlite, or grit to cactus soil to provide the proper drainage.

Make sure to leave drought periods between waterings to prevent the plant from water-logging.

      Originalist v Living Document , 5 - 4
      Format: Hardcover
I found the author's arguments to be logical and compelling. Those who embrace the so-called originalist view of the Constitution, for example Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, claim that they know - with great certainty - the absolute intent of the Constitution's authors. Further they claim that the Constitution provides specifics and principles which of course it does. It is simple to understand the specifics, but what about the principles? Principles, it seems to me, can and do have differing interpretations. One of the definitions of the word principle found in Merriam-Webster states, "a moral rule or belief that helps you know what is right and wrong and that influences your actions." As we all know, rules and beliefs frequently mean different things to different people. If it were not so, Supreme Court decisions would inevitably be decided 9 - 0. Many are familiar with the Supreme Court's case District of Columbia v. Heller in which Justice Scalia opined that the Second Amendment shouldn't stop the U.S. from barring certain weapons. While his opinion certainly seems reasonable to me, I cannot find that principle in the Constitution. Rather it seems to be a logical conclusion based on modern society, mores, and laws - perhaps, as Professor Strauss argues, Common Law. Whether one accepts the originalist view of the Constitution or, as I, believes a living interpretation of the great document is preferable, the one thing we can all agree on is that our nation is one of laws. To that end, it is incumbent on all citizens to accept and abide by the pronouncements of our judges, agree with them or not.

      My Grandchildren LOVED this!
      Format: Hardcover
I read this out loud to my two grandchildren ages 4 and 6 at bedtime. They're so excited to be reading a chapter book and they LOVED it! The book's quirky sense of humor is great and it was fun to hear the kids giggle. We loved how the sloth appears in each story. They couldn't wait for the next night to read. Mr Angleberger- please write more!!!

Got my 8 year old to read!
      Format: Hardcover
My eight year old hated reading and refused to pick up any book, until this arrived in the mail. He as usual refused at first to read it but I made him read a couple of pages, which he did and put it down but the next day he asked to read it and read the entire book in 30 mins. He said he loved it and it was really funny. Already have the 2nd book on its way.

This book is adorable, fantastic! I bought it for a 6 year old boy - he loved it - and his 10 year old brother loved it just as much. The three of us read it together and laughed out loud! It is written for a K - 1 - 2 grade level. Just wonderful! Kudos to the writer and illustrator! We're really looking forward to book #2!
